New to tuning? The words first

You do not need to read a calibration to ask us for help. These are the words on this site.

Tune file or calibration

The computer's settings, saved by your tuning software. It is not a log and not a photo of a screen.

Log

A recording of the car running: rpm, load, fuel, spark, knock and the transmission channels the software saved.

Tune Report

A written review of your file and one log. It says what looks right, what looks off and what to check first. No new file.

Full Custom

We write the changed tune file, explain each change and stay with you through revisions.

Credits

The licence your tuning software needs before it can write a file to the car. Our price does not include credits or hardware.

What your shop changed

If you have the earlier file, a comparison shows the changes. If you do not, a current file and log can still show how the car behaves now. Send what you have and we will say what it can and cannot prove.

Tune Report, free

A written review of your tune file and one log from your car.

The file and the log are compared against our 3 million+ tune values, with a final check-off by our lead tuner. You get a plain report: what looks right, what looks off, and what we would change first. The report does not include a new tune file.

Mopar and Ford reports usually come back in 24–48 hours; the outside limit is 3 business days.

Honda & Acura reports usually take 3–5 business days; the outside limit is 7 business days.

Start with the free check for your platform. The report keeps the platform and file type with the order.

What you send

  • The calibration saved with your tuning software. Send the native file, not a handheld backup or a photo.
  • One log that shows the problem, plus the channel list if you saved one. Mark the time where it happens.
  • The vehicle, engine, computer, transmission and fuel.
  • The parts that changed: intake, exhaust, cam, injectors, pump, boost or E85 parts.
  • What the car does and when you see it.

What you get

  • A written report in plain words.
  • The areas that need work and the checks that confirm them.
  • A clear note when the file or log does not show enough to judge.
  • A clear next step for the car.
File types by platform.
PlatformWhat you send
Mopar and Forduse HP Tuners: an .hpt read and a native .hpl log.
Honda & AcuraK-series uses KPro .kal/.kdl, FlashPro .fpcal/.fpdl, or the FuelTech calibration and native log with a CSV export. Turbo uses FlashPro .fpcal with a .fpdl log or CSV export.

Each platform hub repeats the exact list next to its start action.

How to start.

  1. 1

Use your platform's free Tune Report button. The form asks for the vehicle, engine, computer, software and the problem, and the platform keeps the file type with the order.

  2. 2

Upload the calibration and one log, or start now and upload from the order page when you are at the computer.

  3. 3

A guest order gets one email link to confirm the address; the file is not read until you confirm.

More details: support and file handling

Log analyzer, free

A check of the channels your log recorded.

What you get

  • We look at the log for the signals that explain a car that runs badly. That includes fuel mixture, spark, knock, throttle and the transmission channels your platform records.
  • We tell you what the log shows and what it cannot show.

The log is included in the free Tune Report. Send it with the tune file from your platform hub; there is no separate upload step.

What you send

What a useful log needs to show

Record the channels for the complaint, with a little normal running before and after it.

  • For mixture, include the commanded target, measured wideband reading, fuel trims, rpm and load.
  • For throttle closure, include pedal, requested and actual throttle, knock, temperatures and the available limit or torque-source channels.
  • For an automatic shift complaint, add requested gear, engine speed, turbine or input speed, output speed, converter command and transmission temperature.
  • Missing channels narrow what we can conclude. A commanded pressure value is not measured line pressure.
More details: examples of what the report can establish These are invented log examples, not mixture targets or acceptable-slip limits.
  • Mixture misses its target. Suppose commanded lambda is 0.88 and the valid wideband reads 0.92 during steady load. The measured-to-commanded ratio is 0.92 / 0.88 = 1.045, or 4.5% leaner than commanded. That establishes an error to investigate, not a reason to add 4.5% everywhere. We check sensor scaling, fuel pressure, active corrections and the cells actually used.
  • Engine speed rises during a shift. At 2,500 engine rpm and 2,200 turbine rpm, the converter speed difference is 300 rpm. That alone does not prove an internal clutch is slipping. We also need turbine versus output speed, the engaged ratio and the converter's requested state.
  • The blade closes with the pedal held down. If fuel pressure falls before the throttle request falls, raising a torque limit does not address the first fault. If requested throttle stays high but actual throttle falls, we check the actuator and its feedback before treating it as a request limit.

From order to delivery

Eight steps. The same scope and delivery for every platform.

3 million+ tune values across LS, Mopar, Ford, and Honda & Acura, counted as one combined library. A value is one interior cell or line item in a stored tune table, not a tune file. The combined floor includes the LS library at 3,000,000 values, plus 6,929 Mopar, 2,001 Ford and 17,603 Honda & Acura values: at least 3,026,533 counted values, rounded down. Last update Nov 6, 2026. Questions before you send a file

What do I send if the car already has a tune?

Send the current read and matching log. Include the original stock backup if you have one, and name the device or software that last wrote the car. A first read from a used car is its current calibration, not proof that it is stock. Keep each revision separate so we can tell which file produced each log.

Do I need credits to get my tune checked, and do revisions use more?

Reading a supported controller and recording a log do not consume tuning credits. Writing requires the right license on your interface. Revisions based on the same licensed vehicle, module and operating system do not require another license for every write. A replacement module or changed file identity needs a fresh licensing check. Our service price does not include credits, hardware or any required controller modification.

If an engine-only job asks to license a separate transmission controller, stop before spending credits and send us the module list and the prompt. The exact route depends on the platform and the file, so check it with us first.

My tuner closed and I need the E85 car back on gasoline. Can I send that file?

Send the current file, original backup, injector details and measured fuel content. Changing fuels involves fueling, starting and compensation settings as well as spark. Taking timing out of an E85 file does not make it a gasoline file. We check whether the file is editable before promising a replacement. A license does not remove another tuner's lock; a locked file needs a supported path through the original tuner or software provider.

The wideband is stuck on one number. Can you tune from it?

A flat reading needs a sensor and logging check first. We compare the controller display with the logged channel, confirm its units and scaling, and check heater or fault status. A commanded mixture is not a substitute for a measured one. If uploads also fail or unrelated sensors show impossible readings, check the USB connection, power and software communication before editing sensor calibration. Send the native log rather than a screenshot of the gauge.

Which platform questions belong where? MDS, NAG1, 6R80, 10R80, Ti-VCT, VTEC, VTC, FL5

MDS, RFE and NAG1 questions belong on the Mopar hub. 6R80, 10R80 and Ti-VCT questions belong on the Ford hub. KPro, K-Manager, FlashPro, FuelTech, VTC and VTEC questions belong in the K-series section of the Honda & Acura hub. FK8, FL5, 1.5T and K20C fitment questions belong in the turbo section of the Honda & Acura hub. That keeps the answer next to the car it applies to.
