What the calibration and the log show, in the order we would check it.
Watch
Boost did not follow the request closely
What the data shows. Peak boost pressure was 22.4 psi against a 23.0 psi command. The largest gap was 1.8 psi over and 15.7 psi under across the loaded rows.
What we would do. Check the boost control plumbing, the pressure reference and the sensor scaling before changing a target. A command the turbo cannot follow is not fixed by more duty.
Watch
Measured fuel differs from the command
What the data shows. The largest lean error was 0.250 lambda and the largest rich error was 0.056 lambda over 945 loaded rows.
What we would do. Check the wideband, fuel pressure, trims and the active corrections before editing a fuel table. A lean error in one row set is a check, not a reason to add fuel everywhere.
Watch
Knock retard under load
What the data shows. Peak knock retard was 6.00 degrees, with a peak at load of 5.00 degrees across two loaded runs.
What we would do. Check fuel quality, charge temperature, boost and the knock channel before pulling timing across the whole map. Repeat the same pull before changing sensitivity.
Watch
One fuel trim is large
What the data shows. Short-term fuel trim reached 21%. That is a correction the ECU is already applying, not a mixture target.
What we would do. Check the intake path, the MAF or MAP scaling and the fuel system before treating the trim as a tune error.
